The
Portsmouth and Southsea Fencing Club Academie d'Escrime can visit schools
and youth organisations within the greater Portsmouth area. Classes and groups
of youngsters are given an introductory lesson in Foil fencing. Participants
who are interested in taking up the sport are encouraged to contact their nearest
club.
All equipment is supplied for these sessions.
The sessions prove very popular. Some schools are incorporating Fencing into their curriculum and staff liaise with the British Fencing Association for training.
WARNING - Fencing should never be tried unless supervised by a properly qualified coach and the correct clothing and equipment is used.
